Met Gala 2026 best dressed: Celebrities wow on NYC red carpet on fashion’s biggest night
A parade of A-listers, including Nicole Kidman and Lauren Sanchez Bezos, has descended on the red carpet for this year’s Met Gala.
The actress commanded the red carpet in a breathtaking, floor-sweeping Chanel gown as she arrived at the glitzy event in New York City. Kidman’s liquid-sequin dress featured feathers at the waist and on her sleeves.
The 58-year-old, who is one of the co-chairs this year, was joined by daughter Sunday Rose, 17, whom she had with ex-husband Keith Urban.
Meanwhile, Sanchez, 56, the wife of Jeff Bezos, opted for a very low-cut navy look.
This year’s gala has been marred with controversy as Hollywood is furious that the Amazon billionaire, 62, and Sanchez are sponsoring the event. It is rumored that the couple gave $10 million to the Costume Institute in exchange for being named honorary co-chairs.
The theme of this year’s event – widely considered the Super Bowl of celebrity red carpets – is Costume Art, while the dress code is Fashion Is Art.
Newly engaged Zoe Kravitz, 37, opted for gothic glamour in a black lace Saint Laurent gown with a basque waist.
The Batman star – who’s set to marry former One Direction member Harry Styles – completed the look with black Romy slingback pumps.
