Fears for Dolly Parton, 80, as she shares update on her health after CANCELLING Las Vegas residency

Dolly Parton shared an update on her health after canceling her six-date residency, Dolly: Live in Las Vegas, at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum.

The 80-year-old country legend admitted she’s ‘always had problems with my kidney stones’ but for the past three years her immune system and digestive system ‘got all out of whack’ and now need to be ‘rebuilt and strengthened.’

‘The good news is I’m responding really well to meds and treatments and I’m improving every day,’ Parton – who boasts 28.8 million social media followers – said Monday.

‘Now, the bad news is, it’s gonna take me a little while before I’m up to stage performance level because some of the meds and treatments make me a little bit “swimmy headed” as my grandma used to say.

‘And of course, I can’t be dizzy carrying around banjos, guitars and such on five-inch heels. And you know that I’m going to be wearing them!’

The national treasure – who’s only a Tony Award away from EGOT status – admitted she still ‘has some healing to do’ but she has ‘great doctors,’ saying: ‘I’m doing really well and they assure me that everything I have is treatable, so I’m going with that.’

And while Parton failed to mention her Las Vegas cancellation, she did promote her Pigeon Forge theme park Dollywood, upcoming Nashville museum/hotel and upcoming Broadway musical, DOLLY: A True Original Musical, she’s reworking ahead of its fall/winter opening.

‘I am still working. I still do videos, I still record,’ the godmother of Miley Cyrus – whose last public appearance was on March 13 – stressed.

‘Oh I know what you’re thinking, “Lord, sick or well, that girl’s always promoting something!” Well that’s true, but that’s how you get it done.’

Parton passionately thanked her fans for their messages of support following the 2025 passing of her husband Carl Dean, at age 82, from undisclosed causes following nearly 59 years of marriage.

The Backwoods Barbie was only 18 when she famously met the asphalt road-paver in 1964 at the Wishy Washy Laundromat the day after moving to Nashville from Sevierville to start her career.

‘After going through a year of firsts – I mean the holidays, and especially on our wedding anniversary, and the day of his death March 3, you know, that was hard for me,’ Parton said.

‘But I will always love him and I’ll always miss him. But you would be surprised at how much your love and concern meant to me during that time. Lord, my house and my porch looked like the botanical gardens with all the flowers.
